im looking for a decent 3 phase pulse counter so i can meter my 3 phase power with a pulse port on a fluxo. must be certified for australia.
also any decent pulse counters for water pipes i will want 3.
2 pipes will be 1" or 1.5" and one probably 2"

great you can google too.
i was hoping someone could recommend one that they have bought and use.

G'day B-MAN,
I had the same problem.
l am currently working in Kalgoorlie but will fly home on Friday.
I have a 3 phase pulse counter connected to my Flukso at my property in the Adelaide hills.
Search Lobethal 5.00 on pvoutput.
The pulse counter was around $400. I wanted one to handle my entire load without current clamps. It is 63 amps and from Schneider/Clipsal. I could get you the model number when I get home.
Just looked it up on Google.
Schneider iem 3310
Requires an electrician to install.
See http://www.licensedtrades.com.au/licensed/electrician - "Anyone who does electrical work is required by law to have a valid, current electrician’s licence."; if you dare and need no calibration then there are plenty cheaper ones on ebay (take care to use one with 2000, 1000, 500 pulses/kWh to not run into the unsakeful "my consumption swings as the counter value seems not to fit" discussion) - but as alone this thread and question shows I'd recommend to keep fingers off the installation; your home insurance will thank you.
Thanks Bartelka . will have a look at that and see what my electrician thinks
and quite obviously I would get an electrician to install
Sorry the model number is iEM3110 for pulse output.
spoke to sa power and i can request a pulse output meter. and then pay $9 a month for the privilege of letting them connect into it.
still not sure what to do as not sure how i would be able to record how much solar is used unless i also record the exports.
G'day B-MAN, I use the 3 phase pulse meter to measure my power usage. I have a single phase kilowatt hour meter (Schneider iEM2000T) to measure my solar generation. (It is also required to be installed by an electrician and is rated to 40 Amps ) It doesn't go through the 3 phase meter. So my Flukso shows my solar generation and my power demand.
My next project is to get real time readings of generation and demand so mum knows when she can turn on the washing machine or water the garden. (Not on mains pressure here)
The next project (I have quite a list ) is then to connect this to a computer to control a bore pump filling a tank when there is excess solar . I am looking at using an Elexol Ether IO72 TCP with combo relay and opto board at the moment.
sorry I should of explained it better.
The actual power meter would have pulse output so I would use that.
The solar would be recorded seperate but.
The meter box is 30m away from the house so the solar would be connected after recording device (and as i am recording from the meter i can't put the solar wire in front of it anyway). so without measuring export I would not know how much solar I am using.
so it either goes back to getting a seperate pulse kwh meter IEM3110
and installing that at the house and place the solar in front of that device.
or record the export aswell if the meter is capable.
but that requires buying another fluro as I need more pulse ports.
my current house has the main meter then the solar connected after that(note: before the recording device). then a short amount of wire where the ct clamp is connected and that wire then goes to all circuits.
so I can record solar generation from the inverter. and total consumption.
pv output can then work out the export.
If the meter has a flashing light, just use a phototransistor to interface with the FLM, no actual need to spend money for nothing...
i have been looking at these some more would an eaton IQ35M be suitable?
http://www.eaton.com/ecm/groups/public/@pub/@electrical/documents/conten...
it says
"Outputs
IQ35MAx1 thru 3 Real energy pulse: N.O. static; alarm contacts: N.C. static"
is the pulse output to suit the flukso meant to be S.O?
Page 13 of http://www.eaton.com/ecm/groups/public/@pub/@electrical/documents/conten... - the "Energy" connector will work; the required "Power Source" is supplied by the Fluksometer - thus, "normally open (NO)" is just fine - S0 is a norm/standard... (see also https://www.flukso.net/content/s0-output-compatibility or g**gle for IEC 62053-31)
ok scrap that.
while i like it for its compact size and it does what it needs i cant seem to find a place in australia that sells them.
Head office said they dont import these to australia so that would mean they most probably wouldnt have the australian standard certification. and looks like they retail for ~$800US
i was hoping the $400 mark.
looks like its back to the IEM3110 or http://www.schnap.com.au/kilowatt-hour-meter/three-phase-electric-kilowa...
so far.
id prefer something a little more compact though all i want is the pulse output i dont care for a display or complete meter like some of the other ones...
i have found this http://www.sparkydirect.com.au/p/4741493/pulset---kw-hour-meter-3-phase-...
but still chasing the Pulse specs on it. it has pulse output but unsure at what pulse/KWh
http://www.ebay.com.au/bhp/kwh-meter ?!
Thanks but they are mostly single phase.
I found this from the other post
http://au.rs-online.com/web/p/digital-power-meters/7894114/
I would like the c13 as it's more basic but unsure if 40 amp might become restricting. ... and unsure on pulse.
Rs online has quite a few 3 phase offerings forv <$400. I went with a 65A ABB product that has programmable pulse output.
Any luck finding a good value counter?
not a good value as in cheap but as JCUMPSTAY posted i will be looking at that one as its pulse is configurable and able to give the finer details.
and whats $100 more than the cheaper ones in the scheme of things really for a once of unit.
Interested to know if you fin a decent water meter with pulse output. it's really the only other parameter I want to measure at my place.
ended up getting proper water meters from http://www.fluidflo.com.au/water-meters-c-910.html with pulse.
The volumetric has 0.5L/ pulse otherwise the multi jet is 10L/pulse
suited me as I will be running off my own water not town supply. so having an actual record aswell is good.
that was the cheapest place I could find them
but I was looking for just a pulse unit that tapped into the pipe. couldn't really find anything like that.
purchased the ABB B23 for $365 (inc GST) and free express postage
They are a great unit B-MAN. I have had no issues at all with mine and programming wasn't too difficult. I also recently purchased the smaller ABB C11 kWh meter for install on a specific circuit. Also works a treat with 1000 pulses/kWh
