Graph keeps showing some power when Flukso is not connected...

Hello everybody!

I see some people complaining that their FluksoMeter does not always update the site, but here I have the opposite problem ;)

I wanted to have a clean install of the box, so yesterday I installed an additional power plug close to the device.
To work safely, I switched off the main power line for a couple of hours: so no power, no network, no FluksoMeter at all; but still the graph reports 109 Watts for the whole period... (see attached)

Any explanation?

Mine shows 116 watts for my solar at night :)
No Moon either ;(

Trying to answer myself....

From a Flukso perspective, the device needs to map 1 pulse on approx. 5 hours.

Since it is all about averaging in the RRD files, we see that the last and the first minutes around the power failure are averaged to 550W (roughly).

The 550Wh consumption mapped on 5 hours downtime gives a 110W, close enough to the 'residual consumption' we see.

Hi Amedee,

You will indeed have a non-zero flat line due to pulses being counted on the device in the 5min interval prior to the self-inflicted black-out. These pulses were never reported to the Flukso server. In the first reporting after power-on, the server will notice that the counter has increased since the last reporting and will evenly distribute the energy over the time interval.

Cheers,
-Bart.
