So i gues the high RX is from broadcast packets ...

The amount of bytes received is counted on interface level. The large majority of this traffic will be generated by other devices in the LAN. The download bandwidth of a Fluksometer will be roughly comparable to the reported upload (probably even less).

Hi,
I have a dedicated sim card in a modem which is just used for the flukso. Prior to early Dec, the sim card statement showed around 10-30kB of data usage each day. Since early Dec it's been using 1200-1700kB most days so I'm exceeding the sim card data limit. I don't have other devices connected to the network (and it's password protected).
Would the flukso actually be using this much data now? Does anyone know what would be causing this?
Cheers

1-2MB per day seems like a typical data usage pattern for the FLM.

Hi,
Do you know if there would have been firmware uploads/changes that could have resulted in a regularly increased usage to 1-2MB per day since Dec 2012? I'm trying to understand why it would jump from 10-30kB/day (from the Aug to Dec period roughly) to 1-2MB/day.
Also, does anyone know what is the maximum daily transmission we might expect to see?

I am seeing 1-2Mb per day on my Version 215 Flukso.
Is it possible that your mobile carrier changed from counting only downloaded data to counting upload plus download?
Thats about all i can think of that would have given you figures so far below what seems normal.
Do you have a computer connected to the Flukso's RJ45 port? Because you can surf the internet through that port.
the flukso's RJ45/ethernet port is connected to my home-network (via network switch). is that the case?
mine is on a network with 36000 other computers (on other subnets) and it is not giving strange results.
