I'm still running 232version.
Is there a list page of the firm wares now available to the end user and the changes/new features available for Non Tech users?
Non Tech description seem to be missing from this site.
Also where do you get them from?
Thanks Bazzle
The current firmware version is now 2.4.7 - "you can now upgrade your FLM via a simple click on the settings (cogwheels in the top right corner) > devices page"; beside bug fixes and stability increases there are an onboard database storing counter values (called TMPO) and a built in simple MQTT viewer accessible from the "config page" of the local Fluksometer itself (it actually just shows what MQTT messages are generated from the local Fluksometer). See https://www.flukso.net/blog for details; there are also some presentations linked.
And of course - for v2B FLMs there is also new the integration of FluksoKubes, an upcoming environmental sensor...
Thanks..
No upgrade area under tools on mine?
I don't get an upgrade button either, only a "Remove upgrade" button. I have 241 installed at the moment. I assume that I need to remove 241 before I can install 247?
Thanks,
Michi.
Here is some confusion. At first sight, it is possible to read this as one statement namely 'remove upgrade' but the two words are two statements: 'remove' and 'upgrade'. So clicking on 'remove' will remove firmware but clicking on 'upgrade' will upgrade existing firmware.
It would be a good idea to make the space between the two words a bit wider to avoid confusion.
I found a problem after updating to 247.
The check boxes on the Services page are unticked - after ticking, saving and rebooting they still remain unticked ... anyone else see this?
To correct Jos, the "remove" link will actually not remove the firmware, but the device from the account, so you might register it with a different account (e.g. if you sell your device) - a mouseover of the two words also shows that it is two different functions - this is web standard (even though two "real" buttons would visualize this better, indeed)...
@VK2HIM - this is indeed strange; you actually do not need to reboot after changing these settings - do they stay "correct" if you just close your browser and log on again? Make sure to have cleared you browser cache to be sure that the "right"/new javascripts are loaded on the pages...
I noticed it takes some milli-seconds for the ticks to appear. Probably browser related if readings show up properly on flukso.net.
Wow, thanks for that!
"At first sight, it is possible to read this as one statement"
I'd say that's an understatement. That's got to be one of worst cases of botched UI design I've come across in quite some time…
Michi.
Yes indeed, it's not immediately clear what the 'remove' button does. I wouldn't dare to touch it ... Thanks for clarification.
@Michi - as 241 was also a preview, did you have to remove it when going for this? (let's do a little search in the forum... - https://www.flukso.net/content/looking-r241-alpha-testers - OK, it was pushed by Bart directly) - "one of worst cases of botched UI design" - well, I've seen worse; and it says "operations" as column header... But, of course you can make problems where there are none...
Well, let me see...
There is a line of text that reads "remove update".
Presumably, when I press that link, it'll remove the update.
But, as you say, maybe not. But what would I possibly know about it...

Michi.
Thanks @Gebhardm - yes it was a cache issue - thanks
@Michi, I guess I explained what "remove" means, but maybe my English is too bad for native speakers.
If you are such a splendid designer, please go to the developer corner, fork the flm-ui and/or its server pendant fls repository and provide a more convenient UI, if you mind - a pull request in Github is easily made. This then really would contribute to all of us in the FLM community than nice papers or links to some antique forum threads.
Gebhard, how old are you? For the record, I'm 55.
Michi.
So just 9 years older than me - what's the issue thus?
I'm surprised. I expected you to be in your late twenties.
Michi.
I take that as a compliment ;-) (this is because software development/still annoying computer science keeps me young) - with respect to the firmware upgrade, to all who use my visualization enhancement: This needs to be reinstalled after upgrade as it is not (yet?) part of the standard delivery; content and description are up-to-date with the v246/7 - https://github.com/gebhardm/flmlocal
@Michi - couldn't resist: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-hackers/2002-February/msg00096.html
I read this before but didn't realize you wrote it. You certainly hit the nail on the head. Best - Jos (65)
Wrong URL above. This is a summary of Michi's text:

Good one!
@Michi and Jos - you are right, of course. BUT actually you guys screwed it as it was your generation who deployed computers as the new commodity tool and accepted that sh*t that was sold as hardware and software ever since the first PC came out of hell... (I lean back and smile, as I am a Mathematician who always used these neat machines as what they are, creepy little tools (including the C= PET I started with) that are just shut off if they don't do what I intended, getting just back to a sheet of paper ;-))
The new r247 looks good, i can't wait now for the upcoming Flukso Kube.
I am wondering how the connection will be made with the Flukso v2b ? Wireless i presume ?
The MQTT tab is like i see in my Linux terminal, but on the FLM i can not stop the scrolling, but this is not a big deal.
With respect to the "remove/upgrade issue" ref to https://www.flukso.net/content/device-settings-better-visualize-device-o...
The UXD bug should be fixed with this commit. Thanks for reporting!
