My old FLUKSO died last year and my friend had a new one that he never got around to installing so he gave it to me. I have followed the installation steps for wi-fi. The wi-fi light is flashing, the heart beat light is flashing and the globe light is on. I have plugged it into the sensors from the previous FLUKSO. When I go to register at www.flukso.net/user/register my browser comes up with a message that I am not authorised to access this page. I have an old FLUKSO account that I am currently using but I can't see any readings on Dash. Any suggestions on how I can get the FLUKSO working properly? Thanks.
1) The "You are not authorized to access this page." on https://www.flukso.net/user/register either is an error in the web server or there is currently no registration for new people anymore; might be frightening...
2) If you already have an FLM account then you do not need to register again, but put the "new" device in your own account's settings (cogwheel icon, tab "device"); for that the FLM needs to first be "removed" from the "old" account of your friend, if registered there.
Thanks for that. I registered it OK and updated the firmware but now it's not working. I tried plugging it into the computer via the ethernet to access 192 .168.255.1 but the web-page doesn't show, The power, heartbeat, internet and ethernet LEDs are all on but none are flashing. Is it broken? The FLUKSO had never been used or registered before.
Did you toggle to WiFi? Try a factory reset to start completely anew...

Thanks. Tried pushing the toggle button 60 to 120 seconds twice. It didn't respond at all. Power, heartbeat and globe lights all on and no heartbeat. When I plug the Ethernet cord in the Ethernet light stays on as well. Doesn't appear to have reset, no heartbeat. Is there anything else I an try?
Have you power cycled already? Power off, wait some minute, power on - "usually" the factory reset brings the little piece down to earth again; and be sure to be in the same LAN segment to access the FLM on 192.168.255.1 (on doubt, provide a manual address to your accessing PC)...
Thanks. Just tried that - didn't seem to work. Still no heartbeat, and the power, heartbeat, globe and ethernet lights on with none of them flashing. Still can't access 192.168.255.1
When you say " Still can't access 192.168.255.1 " ... what is the IP address of the PC you are using to access the Flukso??
See corresponding manual section: https://github.com/flukso/flm02/wiki#networking
I'm not sure. I can't seem to get the Flukso to respond to anything. When plugged into the lap-top via ethernet it just sits there with power lights on, globe and ethernet lights on, and the heartbeat light on with no heartbeat/flashing heartbeat light.
Have to say: the 'flashing' heartbeat is barely visible, it's just a couple of milliseconds IMHO and it goes the other way around (not lighting up but dimming instead).
Can you see the syslog? It needs some 200's in the last column.
OK, please follow these steps one by one and don't leave any out.
1) Turn off Flukso
2) Turn off wifi on your laptop
3) disconnect any ethernet cables from your laptop
4) Manually set the laptops IP address to 192.168.255.100 , subnet mask 255.255.255.0 , Router 192.168.255.1
5) Connect ethernet cable to laptop and other end to Flukso
6) Turn on Flukso
7) Wait until the lights come on the Flukso
8) Using your browser (Chrome, Safari, Internet explorer etc) surf to http://192.168.255.1
9) You should see the Login page
