I own a Flukso device since only one day, and I already have a lot of questions needing a lot of answers :-p
Here is one of my questions:
where is data stored? On the server-side? or locally in my device?
when I click on the Dash menu while beeing at work, it tells me that it cannot display anything because I am not in the same network as my device. This makes me think that data is stored locally.
But on the other hand, in the Dash menu, you can add data from other people. This is for sure on the server-side.
Cheers,
Louis
Hello Louis,
some of your questions may be answered from the manual: http:www.flukso.net/files/flm02/manual.pdf
Data is stored on the server side; there is some small data storage on the FLM in case there is no server present.
The "not same network" error should apply only if you try the minutes resolution in the dashboard, as then the FLM is queried per second.
Hope that provides you at least a clue...
Best regards
Markus

Markus is correct. So the dash will fetch 'historical' data from the flukso.net API. It will try to access your FLM directly for real-time data rendered under the minute tab. That is why your computer needs to be in the same LAN as the FLM for the minute tab.

Ok, thanks both for this clear answer
