Request for custom NTP server

My ISP runs its own NTP server and blocks access to any other. Yes, really.

So can anybody point me to the place where I can tweak this? And could this make it into the web admin pages?

To tweak this myself, I'll probably need to ssh into the box, any pointers to username/password combo are appreciated
(I only recently started using my flukso)

1/ Could you tell us which ISP you're using?
2/ See the related NTP discussion at [1].
3/ You'll have to change the NTP settings via ssh [login/pwd: root/root].

  1. ssh root@192.168.255.1
  2. root@flukso:~$ vi /etc/config/ntpclient
  3. root@flukso:~$ /etc/init.d/network restart

The ISP is telenet, and they pretty much force you to use ntp.telenet.be
I'll try your tips asap - which probably means in a day or two :(

You're the second Telenet customer to report this, see [1]. Why on earth would they block an NTP port? Furthermore, my Fluksometer at home has been hooked up to the internet via Telenet for years with no NTP issues. What plan are you on? Did Telenet give you a reason as to why they are blocking the NTP port?

I have no idea... I just know that every single device with NTP support fails and I need to change the NTP server.
Since you are also on telenet, you know there's no chance of getting anything meaningful out of their 'support'. I already omitted the 'technical' part.

edit: I just attadched to my flukso and its system time was correct. Does it only get it from NTP or are there other means?

The Fluksometer derives its time from an NTP server. If it doesn't, it thinks it's 1970 with elephant pants, platform shoes and Abba included.
