Hello, I'm a developer on another project that uses OpenWrt and an ATmega to control a BBQ grill with a WiFi interface. So far I've been doing development with an old WRT54GL that I'd purchased off of eBay. It works fine but the device is just so big, has more ethernet ports than are needed, and is a little underpowered (if you open more than 4 connections, you run out of memory and crash the device).

I've been looking around the internet trying to find an inexpensive replacement for the host device. It is surprising to me that I can get a whole router, 12V power adapter and a network cable for $25 but if I want a single-port ethernet + wifi System-on-a-chip board I'm looking at $100+.
I was wondering if there's somewhere you can point me for a source of OpenWrt-compatable SoC boards that are more affordable?
Hi capnbry,
Our Fluksometer v2 is based on a Dragino router board. I suggest you get in touch with Edwin of Dragino.
Cheers,
Bart.
