Will Fluksometers work after web services disappear?

I don't want to be negative and I hope this project runs for a very long time, but as is the reality with many IoT projects that they will eventually finish up.

If this happens, will things still work as they have been (uploading to PVOutput, being an MQTT broker/publisher) and the only thing we miss is the dash on this site? Will the initial setup still be possible?

What I found out with respect to the different questions:
* The FLM itself surely will continue to work; there even is an option to switch off data transmission to this site.
* The built-in MQTT broker in this sense is also an inherent functionality, subject to the onboard services.
* What will fail, is the PVOutput upload, as this currently depends on the API which runs on the server application.
* And for the dash, now already for a very long time there is an extension: https://github.com/gebhardm/flmlocal - and this is even capable to access the onboard history data...
So, all in all, the FLM will stay a feasible appliance even if this site will cease some time in the future (what I actually do not hope to occur ;-))

Markus is correct on all points. The server-side API we offer is a convenience function that allows for easy linking to other platforms like pvoutput.org. Flukso has been active in energy monitoring for almost a decade now. We were up and running when Google announced (and consequently scuttled) its PowerMeter. We have no plans of stopping any time soon. To the contrary.

That's good news ICARUS75, thank you !
