Hello,
I'm interested in the Flukso to measure my gas and electricity usage. I still have an 'old' meter for Gas and electricity. For electricity I own a Schlumberger and for Gas the UGI G2.
I understand that for electricty I use the clams. Clear and easy to install ( I guess) but for gas I have to use:
https://www.flukso.net/content/gas-probe But I don't get how I should install this on my old GAS meter?
And when I upload it to PVoutput, and download the free pvoutput APP, I can see my LIVE gas and electricity usage? Is that right?
If so, I don't understand why don't everyone is using the Flukso :)
How accurate is the flukso to your real usage? Like 3% off, or more?
The gas probe will only work if your gas meter has a magnet pulse inside, so check that first.
I do not understand why you wonder why everybody uses Flukso. How do you think you will 'upload' your readings (and how you will make those readings in the first place)?
Hey, I will check if my gas has a magnet pulse inside. Can I check that with a compass or something?
And I wonder diferently. I mean when I read all specs and the price for the unit, I do not understand why ppl invest a lot more in other boxes, that can do less. So actually I was praising the Flukso :)
I was wrong with PVoutput. I thought it was also for usage, but it's only for solor systems (which I don't have)
So now my question is: Can I see my actual usage on some kind of app when I use the flukso? And if so, what app?
Yes, a compass works for finding out, and some actual consumption while checking ;)
Flukso has the 'Dash' on the website here where you can see all kinds of graphs, and when you're on the same network there are ways to get live readings. Don't know the details as I don't use that, I only use the day/month/year graphs to check trending after investments or changes of habits :D
