It seems the lead attached to the water probe is not long enough to reach my Flukso, so I'd like to ask if there is a simple way of prolonging the lead? With simple I mean something a person can do without soldering as I don't have a soldering station at home or any skills in it :)
Thanks in advance.
No soldering is needed for extending the probe's lead wire. Just add more lead wire and make sure you've got a good electrical connection (e.g. lusterklem).
Great, I was hoping it would be as simple as that, just needed some confirmation :) Does the type of wire matter by the way? And how long can it become? My guess is that the total length from Flukso to probe would be around 8-9m.
A lead wire length of 10m should be no problem. As for the wire type, anything containing a decent amount of copper should do, e.g. a twisted pair in a telephone cable. Tinned tips are a plus in case of stranded wire.
Great thanks, that should be all the information I need to make the adjustments. Much appreciated!
