Questions about installing and configuring a Fluksometer.

Watermeter possible solution ?

In my house i have an not so recent watermeter installed (see picture).
http://ubuntuone.com/45B6WqQz8gxNTFYHcJooMJ
http://ubuntuone.com/62gKp0ZaxBDohvOVT3Wz82
The counter on top is tunable for about 340° so i think the counter movement is driven by an magnet and the water propeller inside has also an magnet. But i don't detect any magnet with use of an compass.
Has anyone already saw those watermeters in Belgium. Brand is unknow, i see only an A and Q.
What can i do to detect the movement, beside the use of an camera, LOL ?

Minute Tab Realtime dsiplay

I like to reopen this topic on a new thread hoping to get the latest status on this as it is not working with any browser I tested so far. These are:
Safari on Iphone
Safari on IPad

IE 11
Latest Chrome

Any News what can be done to make it work on either browser?

First-time install problems

FLM v2b arrived today.

Lesson learned so far:

1. Can't plug the unit into a hub, even with appropriate IP and netmask settings on my PC. It seems to require a direct-to-PC connection with DHCP enabled on the PC.
2. It looks like the HTTP server is not accessible over the wireless link, nor does ping appear to work over wireless.
3. The "3-phase" setting seems to have some meaning that I don't understand, since it disables power sensor connections beyond the first one.
4. Apparently this forum doesn't have a search feature.

After wiring everything up, it took quite a while for anything to show up on the fluxo.net website. Is that normal? How often does the v2b sync with the website?

Is there an easy way to check the setup locally, to make sure everything is working right?

As far as I can tell, there isn't currently a way to configure certain sensors to be consumption, and others to be production, and to have them displayed net. I've heard I can do that with pvbeancounter or pvoutput, but that it requires some setup. Is there a writeup somewhere with more details? Nothing along those lines came in the box, nor do I see a "docs" or "support" section on the website.

Water Probe - Only minute data available in Dash

Hi,

Just installed a water sensor,
Even after almost 24 hours I only get the lperday in the Minute graph,.... which then obviously only shows the curve for the last few minutes.

The sensor works because every time water is flowing it detects it in the lperday (minute) graph and it increases the lperday value.

Before I hooked up the sensor I tested it by placing it in a LED circuit, when I had the water flowing the led pulsed (went of and on), ... so this looks fine, the only odd thing is that when the water stops flowing it often happens that the sensor keeps the pulse high and this can last for a long time until the water is flowing again when it starts to blink again. Is this a known/normal behaviour ?

Also, I'm getting weird read ins in the /var/run/fluksod/sensor file,... when I have the water flowing it produces values but when it is not flowing I get:

Anyone some clues ?

Setup problem

Hi flukso community,

I joined you yesterday with my FLM in the mail and eagerly tried to set it up.
So it was not problem connecting it to the wireless network, and seeing the device and sensors beeing connected online. As access to the fusebox is a bit constarained in my case I tried to simulate the setup by putting the clamps around my laptops powercord. I was hoping to see at least some readings on the dashboard page. But now after 16 hours of uptime there is still only a blank screen.
So I started to play around with the sensor settings and disabled all of them: what is puzzling me that there are still two sensor active, which are the
electricity smart-main
gas smart-main
sensors.
Any idea whats going wrong or whether simulating the flukso as I did just doesn´t create any out put?
Thanks for any hint

Erik
