Questions about installing and configuring a Fluksometer.

Boiler woodstove measuring

I was wondering if someone might be interested in an arduino with tft screen which monitored the power delivered to the boiler. I made it working with flukso. 2 pictures says more than 1000 words.

No requests to local FLM in minute tab? The call for sensor <s> experienced a timeout. You are probably not in the same local

Hi,

The minute tab is not updating for me. I installed FLM03E on ethernet, let my DHCP assign a fixed IP and reconfigured the FLM firewall to allow access to the management console. I can access the management console on the fixed IP. So far so good...

When I try to access the minute dashboard on the website, I cannot find the call to my local FLM in the developer console.

The last call I see is:
https://www.flukso.net/api/user//sensor?callback=jQuery17102879687419080368_1479768783330&version=1.0&_=1479768783417

Which returns the correct fixed IP address:
jQuery17102879687419080368_1479768783330([<4 other sensors>,{"sensor":"<sensorId>","type":"electricity","function":"zwart","ip":"<fixed IP address>","port":"undefined"}]);

However, I cannot see any subsequent calls to this IP address?

I read in the forum that the browser could be refusing the outgoing call, but see no warning signs? I tried both Chrome and Safari.

Has anyone faced a similar issue?

Many thanks,

Kristof

Clamps for FLK v2

Can someone Please advise where i can purchase compatible clamps/pulse meters to suite16mmSq cables ( & the compatibility Differences in clamps as the one i have C Cost don't register activity) for FLK v2 to monitor Consumption & Solar generation for an Off Grid system
Solar input is 4kw 48Volt to Inverters
240Volt Output
Like to purchase in Australia

Pulse or coil?

Hi all.

I had a small solar setup that the grid tie inverter was giving bad readings on my V2 Fluksometer... So I had to set up a pulse meter and set up my Fluksometer to read the pulse port.

Last week the landlord decided to replace the roof and now says I'm not allowed to have the three panels I had sitting up there any more.

So now I'm thinking of selling off all the solar gear but am considering keeping the flukeso and connecting it to the main switchboard so I can monitor my usage and costs. I figure selling the Fluksometer as well would be pointless as I have proberly changed the password and it's configured for my system.

My problem begins here. As my sub switchboard is in the lounge room wall I only want to have to bolt the Fluksometer to the wall. Not the extra 4 din case that contains the one module power meter (it's also the pulse generator).
Is pulse more accurate or coil? The next problem is that if I reinstall the coil (and that's if I can even find it) I'm guessing I'll have to delete the pulse thingy out of the Fluksometer and get a new sensor id or app key for the coil? It's been set up for 2 years and I've forgotten how I set it up or even if I changed the password.

What would you suggest I do?

Thanks
Kym

Get Power Used from smart-meter on main fuse & PV

Hi all,

I have a Flukso V2 where I hooked two smart meters using pulse signals:

1) "main" meter located on the main fuse box (between grid cable and household fuses). http://www.top-messtechnik.com/jtlshop/index.php?a=476&lang=eng
2) "PV" meter located right after my inverter, that is injecting power into a second fuse box (in my kitchen)

I'm not an expert in electricity so I'll try to draw a schema of the setup:

GRID ---- "main" meter ---- Main fusebox ---- Secondary fusebox ---- "PV meter" ---- Inverter

The PV injection into the secondary fusebox can't be changed.

Before installing PV, the "main" meter was used to monitor household consumption. However, since the PV is installed and generating power, the signal of the "main" meter that is pushed to the Flukso seems to take into account generation (PV) and househould consumption. This results in a signal that is equal to the household consumption when no power is injected (see red line in figure below, before 10:30 AM and after 6:30PM). When power is injected, the main signal follows the PV (blue line) and the difference between the blue and red seems to be equal to the net consumption (import/export from/to the grid).

See: https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1498950/RackMultipart201...

Does this make sense?

I wanted then to push the data to pvoutputs and given assumptions above, I have setup the auto upload from the Flukso device like this:
https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1498951/RackMultipart201...

In the first device, I subtract the Generated power ("PV" Meter) from the Power recorded at "Main" Meter. This is, according to me, returning the Net Consumption and not the Power used.

In the second device, I get the "PV" meter data only which I'm sure is Generated Power only.

The result on pvoutput is this:
https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1498952/RackMultipart201...

The Power Used seems therefore to show the Net Consumption and not the actual power used (without pv contribution). Therefore I'm not sure that the Net Energy (import or export) figures are correct.

My question: Is it possible to setup the automatic upload in order to get the Power Used instead of Net Consumption in my situation? Does someone can help me to set it up on pvoutputs?

I asked some help from their forum and someone suggested to replace my current configuration by:

Primary device
- Direction = Solar
- Sensor = PV Meter

Secondary device
- Direction = Net
- Sensor = Main Meter

This now yields this:
https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1499504/RackMultipart201...

There is still something I don't really get: in the graph above, we can see that the Power used follows directly the PV generation. Therefore there is a peak in the consumption directly linked with the peak of production. My consumption is therefore way too high as it seems to take into account the PV generation.

I tried several setups but can't get it right... So I just would like some help from you guys, and hopefully be able to extract the power consumption given my electrical setup.

Thanks a lot,
Greg
