Flukso would need to ...

The place to talk at length about possible (and impossible) future features of Flukso.

buffering of data?

my adsl modem was offline for a few hours.
i noticed that my flukso did not buffer any power consumption data for this period so that it could send it to flukso.net once the adsl line came back online.
this would be an nice improvement of the device

my first impressions : installation : configuring a 3x220V system

I have my flukso now for more than 2 weeks and these are my suggestions.
I will post one suggestion per topic so people can react

I have a 3x220V-system, which means that I measure 220V between the 2 phases.

This is different from a 3x380V-system where you measure 220V between eache phase and the "ground/neutral conductor" and 380V between 2 phases.

The consequence is that I need to enter 220V/sqrt(3) = 127 V in the voltage of the sensor.
This is confusing to say the least. A more straightforward way should be found to configure this.

my first impressions : installation : accessing minute-tab

I have my flukso now for more than 2 weeks and these are my suggestions.

I have a 3-phase 220V-system.
The minute tab did not work because I had to configure sensor 2 and 3 as "disabled" when using a 3 phase-system. This is counter-intuïtive to say the least.

My flukso has current clamp1 on input 1, current clamp 2 on input 2, current clamp 3 on input 3.
Apparently such a configuration, which is quite common, requires you to mark sensor 2 and 3 as "disabled".

It would be better if the setting of sensor 2 and 3 is grayed out in case of a 3-phase system.
In that case there would be no confusion

my first impressions : installation : default ip-address

I have my flukso now for more than 2 weeks and these are my suggestions.
I will post one suggestion per topic so people can react

Out of the box, the flukso has a fixed ip-address.
It would be better that it first takes an ip-address over dhcp and in case no dhcp server is found, that is takes the fixed ip-address it now has.

That will enable most of the people to access the web interface without reconfiguring the ip-address of their computer.

my first impressions : installation : accessing web-interface of wifi

I have my flukso now for more than 2 weeks and these are my suggestions.

When working over wifi, I was not able to access the web-interface.
I was told you can make it work by issueing some commands over ssh but that is not a real solution for normal human beings.

I think there should be setting to disable/enable the web-interface over wifi.
Default should be "enabled". If someone has security concerns that make him want to disable the web interface over wifi, he can then do it.
